If Trump loses the election by January 20th, he will be escorted from the Whitehouse and be replaced by Joe Biden. What would happen if people put up competing slates of electors and have the house and senate decide the presidency? The safe harbor deadline is December 8, the date everyone in America is watching out for and scrambling towards. The reason this date is so important is because that’s when you’ll have the results known in your specific state of the election that took place last Saturday. Come January 6, the votes will then be counted for either Trumps continued presidency or for Biden to take his place and have Trump removed.

Across the nation people celebrate the idea of Joe Biden becoming president, so it’s deemed right to assume that he will win and become America’s new president in 2021. Emily Murphy, the Administrator of Trump-appointed General Services, is the one tasked in affirming that Joe Biden has won among other things she is tasked with such as acquiring funding for training and new staff for the White House. She has yet to sign off, and without a clear deadline for this to take place, the public won’t know the election details as well as Trump having yet to admit that he has lost. Once the decision is made for the election winner, the funds will be released at roughly $10 million.

Trump has made no sign that he plans to admit defeat, and with his countless tweets against Biden, what if he declares victory regardless of the ballots? With the negative comments stating how Joe Biden is a security threat and should be in prison, what if Trump then goes off saying how the entire election process is fraudulent and his seat has been stolen? Seeing where this is going, it would be no surprise if he were to do so. If Trump were to lose, this would be the first and most important step in the presidency process. After spending the past 4 years in office and dehumanizing his opponents, there’s a reason to believe that he won’t go quietly.
