What is the first thing that pops into your head when comes to Millie Bobby Brown? For most people it’s the show Stranger Things, for this was the Netflix program that got her going in her acting career. However, it isn’t the first role she landed but perhaps the most popular one as of yet. In 2014, when she was only ten years of age, she got in the drama series Intruders as her first role ever played.

There are a few things that are unheard of when speaking of this young actress, or simply just not talked about often. Rumour has it that one reason why she is so good at her performances is due to her disability: being deaf in one ear. I can see how highly unlikely that can be though, considering the countless of other actors and actresses that perform just as good regardless of a such a flaw. I suppose being deaf lessens noise distractions when rehearsing or filming; however, this could also create a fallback for not being able to hear directions completely.

When she was on the set of Stranger Things, she bonded quickly with Winona Ryder all because she was the only girl with a group of rowdy boys. She took to Ryder often when she needed the quiet space, in which she obliged and understood Millie’s frustration. This helped the two become close friends over the course of the show’s production.

In between shoots, Millie is also heavily into the martial arts. For instance, boxing is on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Jiu Jitsu takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays which she loves, not to mention being incredibly good at it.

At the young and ripe age of sixteen, she became the world’s youngest Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. Her perception was as if she completely lived the human experience for the past century. With her mature outlook on life, she grabbed a lot of people’s attention when she addressed the issues of bullying, climate change, and violence, amongst other problems that are found in the world today.
